The article presents information on the two "Minhagim" manuscripts of Worms which was compiled by Yuzpa Shammes. Compilation of the manuscripts put together by Shammes, synagogue beadle and scribe of the Worms community for several decades is the better known of the two manuscripts. Three manuscripts of Yuzpa's minhagim is said to have existed during the author's lifetime with the original autograph having begun in 1648. A second autograph of the manuscript was found in the possession of the Jewish community for many years. |
