Abstrakt: The article reports on the locative technologies systems distribution using mobile phones in the U.S. It says that mobile devices are used for locative distribution because the device is always on, and therefore almost tailored for its purpose. It also says that media objects distributed to mobile phones from specific locations have an environmental responsiveness characteristic. Further, barcode tagging depends on affixing a small visual object to the location, such as individualized barcode, which serves as a link to a Web page. Moreover, Bluetooth can be used for the purpose because it is a localized wireless data-transfer network with a range of 10 to 20 meters.
