Abstrakt:	The article reports on the economic activity of major gas companies in Russia including Gazprom, Gazprom Neft and Rosneft. It presents a SWOT analysis of each firm, their market position and the respective business strategy they employed. It tackles the developments of each company which include their merger and acquisitions activity and buyouts. Information on the firms' total revenues, net income and oil and gas production is provided.
