The article discusses digital copy, a separate encoding of the movie that is optimized for transfer to a computer or a portable media player. It is not considered a standard DVD version of the movie on a second disc and it does not work in a traditional DVD player. Among the benefits of availing a digital copy of a movie is getting two copies of a movie for the price of one. It is noted that some Hollywood studios started testing with Digital Copy on Blu-ray or DVD. |
