Abstrakt: The article discusses Croatia's attempt to redefine its national identity and clarify its cultural boundaries, focusing on a 2006 situation involving the Croatian singer Severina Vučković, the Eurovision Song Contest, the song "Moja štikla," and Serbia. The author analyzes the pre-existing symbolic content in which the controversy over the song and its performer arose. Other topics include Croatian music identity and the interstices (spaces) that exist between Croatia and its neighbors, which the author calls 'domains of difference.'
