This article reports on psychotherapy for older gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender (GLBT) adults. The article notes that there has been limited research on psychotherapy for sexual minorities and that more information is needed for their psychological treatment related to adult development, coping, cohort membership, and stigmatization. The article also discusses the differences between older adults and younger adults, how concepts of contexts change, and social factors in sexual identity. GLBT identity disclosure and the gay community are mentioned as well. |
