The article focuses on the house owned by artist, writer and collector Huang Yongyu located near Beijing, China. The house is named the Hall of Ten Thousand Lotuses or Wan He Tang and reflects the interest of Huang in the Italian lifestyle. It adds that the house stands as an architectural hybrid as it has integrated both Western and Eastern, with traditional Chinese culture. It describes several elements found in the house including a classical Chinese pavilion and a portable teahouse. |
