Abstrakt: Personalization becomes more common in Web-based applications. More and more adaptive Web-based applications that adapt information presentation (the content or navigation) employing goals and other characteristics of a user or context are developed. By increasing the number of existing adaptive applications the need for more effective creating and reusing the content among adaptive applications rises. In this chapter we present an approach to creating the content using ontological representation that is suitable for reusing. The ontology includes a domain model and domain dependent part of a user model, both specified on several levels of abstraction. We support the content transformation between several applications and its cross-system use that enables better use of best characteristics of each application without the need of manually creation of the content, which already exists. We evaluated the method using the domain ontology of teaching programming by examples. We claim that the content and structure of the adaptive application represented by the ontology is suitable for sharing and reusing when defining new applications. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
