Abstrakt: This article discusses the development and benefits of an in-the-ear style hearing device called be by ReSound that is said to be the first example of a invisible open technology (IOP) hearing instrument. The device was created by the company as an alternative to open micro-behind-the-ear (micro-BTE) hearing instruments. Among the advantages of be are freedom from occlusion, comfort in wearing and sound quality.
