Abstrakt: Information about the 3rd National Congress of Indian Stroke Association held February 8-10, 2008 in Amritsar, India is presented. The event was exceptional, with presentations covering a range of stroke-associated topics from basic science, epidemiology, stroke burden in the country, primary and secondary prevention strategies, stroke imaging, neuroprotection, acute therapies, stroke recovery, comprehensive stroke rehabilitation, long term stroke outcomes, and health economics.
