The author relates his experience of doing fieldwork which entailed creating photographic documentation of architectural monuments in Siberia, particularly in Tiumen Province. He notes that the result of this expedition resulted from over 5,000 photographs ranging from late medieval churches to contemporary vernacular architecture. He offers a geographic and historical background on Tiumen Province and also describes the architectural monuments and relics in the province. |
