Abstrakt:	The article offers tips on how to develop and maintain effective leadership in the academic industry across the U.S. Being a department chair in the American school is a very challenging and tough job which it needs to maintain intelligent, composure and good attitudes towards staff, faculty and even students. Department chairs have played important role towards the improvement, stability and change of the educational system of the school.
