Abstrakt: | The article provides information on the discovery of copper. It was found that this metal was malleable, it was easily hammered into crude implements such as knives, swords and other weapons. Soon thereafter methods were developed to form copper and gold into wire shapes. In this context, the author addresses the association from both a historical and metallurgical perspective of this metal. The first jewelry applications for wire used native copper and precious metals like gold and silver. |
