| Abstrakt: |
The article offers information on political and economic status of Lebanon for 2008-2009. It highlights the Doha agreement between the parliamentary majority on March 14 and minority on March 8, which should bring about an immediate de-escalation in tensions and the formation of a new national unitary government. It also discusses the real gross domestic product (GDP) growth, which is expected to reach around 2.7% in 2008, rising to 3.8% in 2009 as economic activity recovers. |
