Abstrakt:	The article presents a study about the role played by campus threat assessment teams in managing violent and other troubling students. It focuses on providing practical suggestions to higher education institutions regarding the development and maintenance of threat assessment teams that are consistent with best practices and are in accordance with ethical and legal parameters. The application of various privacy and confidentiality laws on the threat assessment teams and the available strategies that can be used to maximize sharing of crucial information about troubled students are discussed.
