Abstrakt: |
The article presents an overview of the stages of infection and treatment of HIV, a sexually transmitted virus that attacks the body's immune system. The virus has four main paths of transmission including unprotected anal or vaginal sex, sharing drug injecting equipment, infected mother to baby, and blood and organ donation. The use of antiretroviral drugs have an enormous impact on morbidity and mortality from HIV infection. Moreover, the challenges of HIV nursing is also discussed. |
