The article presents a study which compares the clinicopathological features and outcome of women with endometrioid and serous ovarian adenocarcinoma. It says that data was taken from 1,545 patients with ovarian cancer, 270 of whom had pure endometrioid tumors and 659 had pure serous adenocarcinoma of the ovary. It has found that median age of diagnosis for patients with endometrioid tumors was younger than those with serous adenocarcinoma of the ovary. Moreover, it states that endometrioid histology is associated with better survival. |
