Reports photoaffinity labelling of presenilin 1 (and 2) by potent gamma-secretase inhibitors which were designed to function as transition state analogue inhibitors directed to the active site of an aspartyl protease. Indication that presenilin may contain the active site of gamma-secretase; Relationship of gamma-secretase to Alzheimer's disease. |
