Abstrakt: The article provides information on some of the revolutionary high performance fibres. Loyotropic polymer made fibres include aromatic polyamides (PPTA), Poly hydrazides, Poly imdes and hetro cyclic polymers. Spinning of aromatic polyamides from anisotropic solution leads to fibre of exceptional strength, according to the article. This is because of minimum or no chain folding. The known fibre through the liquid crystal polymer made fibre is Vectran, which is established as commendable fibre in terms of high performance applications. Other fibres mentioned include gel spun fibre and optical fibres.
