Abstrakt: | The article discusses the ecological and floristic convergence of some plant formations in South America. The author considers certain traits of flora, vegetation and climate as a first approximation to compare corresponding ecosystems. The comparative analysis may be viewed at three different approaches. The first is the assessment of the degree of environmental similarity under which similar types occur. The second concerns the structural and functional convergence of vegetation. The third approach focuses on a morpho-ecological characterization of each of the communities through their main plant components. |
