Printing technology is rapidly changing as a result of global competition and demands of the market, including reduced lead times, greater variety, lower cost, improved quality, shorter runs and in interest in the impact that production has on the environment. CAD systems are being used in an attempt to meet these increasingly difficult demands. Machinery manufacturers are looking to the future to refine and expand current technology.
