Abstrakt: Efficient weaving of warp yarns requires sizes possessing such properties as high tensile strength, abrasion resistance, good adhesion and easy removability in the desizing operation. Acrylic acid copolymers exhibit these characteristics but many of them are sensitive to the humidity of the weaving room. In order to reduce the moisture sensitivity and still maintain the easy removability of the acrylic acid copolymers, reversible crosslinks have been introduced through divalent cations. These crosslinks increased the strength properties of the polymer film. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
