The article reports on education finance in the U. S. It mentions that education finance formulas should aim at providing students with equal opportunities in receiving education. It argues that the country's policies in education including the No Child Left Behind Act in 2001 emphasize the achievements of students instead of providing educational opportunities. The article examines the efforts at determining the adequacy of education based on the needs of students. It describes several models including the Professional Judgement, Successful Schools, Evidence-Based, and Statistical Analysis models. An overview of education finance is provided. |
