| Abstrakt: |
The article discusses the health risk assessment of hazardous substances released as waste product of textile industries and governmental regulations of it. It highlights on the considerations on classification of hazardous chemicals imposed under the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) in the U.S. as well as the lists of hazardous chemicals identified by textile industry and from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency(USEPA). Accordingly, toxicity effects into end-organs such as neural, renal and dermal and it is even carcinogenic and toxic. |
