The authors present their implementation of the Dicke microwave receiver with low-cost components. Several uses of the receiver include to demonstrate the man-made emission of electromagnetic fields in the microwave range and educational radio astronomy receiver. The authors describe the use of low noise amplifiers (LNA). |
