Abstrakt: The article focuses on Marisa Dipaola and her works. Dipaola's works exude her striking sense of humor and immense capacity for surprise but this kind of playfulness in design is the result of excellent training, hard work, informed and serious purpose and the intangible element of inspiration. Made from of soft material such as cotton and candy bar wrappers, her creations were shaped to reveal her training, including a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2000. With sculpture as a primary source of training, she utilizes techniques in attaching one surface to another.
