Abstrakt: The article focuses on the change in the movement of avant-garde film in the U.S. According to the author, accessibility of sync-sound filming, individuating techniques and editing in avant-garde filmmaking have encouraged filmmakers to reinvent cinema. With their intention to improve the quality of their work and to catch the audiences' attention, filmmakers have faced the challenge in making independent films.
