The article focuses on the significant works of the black lesbian and gay experimental makers in the U.S. The author stated that due to American culture, which is visually oriented, the power of the image is tremendous, where such individuals learned, mis-learned and shuffled information about others and on cues gleaned from mass media. He added that through movies, they learned genre formulas before they even knew what it really is. An overview about the identity of black filmmakers and its personality is also provided. |
