| Abstrakt: | The article discusses the advantages of soil conditioners for sports field construction and maintenance, according to Roger Bossard, head groundskeeper for the Chicago White Sox. Soil conditioners made from calcined montmorillonite clay are used to manage moisture, reduce compaction and increase drainage on the athletic field. As an expert in his field, Bossard teachers others about field maintenance and shares his passion for the job with up and coming groundskeepers. |
