A conference paper that explores whether adjunctive treatment of valproate to olanzapine can improve the psychotic symptomatology of a hearing impaired schizophrenic patient with comorbid atypical anorexia nervosa is presented. A significant improvement in a schizophrenic's psychotic symptomatology was observed after three weeks of combination treatment. The treatment was even beneficial for the patient's eating disorder. |
