The article presents information on the decision of Bertelsmann AG to drop its plan to buy a share of RTL Group PLC, the biggest broadcaster in Europe. According to Bertelsmann, it might be difficult to remove the stock of RTL from public trading even with a complete takeover. The firm states that it has decided to drop the idea because it has no dependable legal basis to raise its remainder interest in RTL Group to 100%. |
