Abstrakt:	The author comments on the remarks of Geoffrey Yu concerning the intellectual property norm-setting and policy-making dynamics within the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). He offers a perspective from the developing countries on such policy-making dynamics. He also cites the effect of the convergence of processes that produced the Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and the economic impact of its implementation on developing countries.
