The article discusses how Forschungszentrum Jülich reduces degradation effects in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) stacks. The company applies protective dense layers to alloy surface. It was proven that LaCrO3-base porovskite layers could lessen chromium evaporation. Cr poisoning in planar SOFC with metallic interconnect could also be reduced using advanced steels and alternative cathodes. |
