Abstrakt: The article presents a case study of a 39-year-old Zimbabwean man suffering from fever, general malaise and acute-onset chest pain. His electrocardiography (ECG) upon admission showed inferior ST-T segments elevation and he was thrombolysed with tenectaplase. The patient's transthoracic echocardiography revealed a moderately enlarged, hyperdynamic left ventricle and a huge eccentric jet of mitral regurgitation.
