The article offers information on nonprofit and philanthropic studies. The author posed that one of the most prominent developments of the past quarter century has been the development of nonprofit management education into an inchoate field of study, supported by scholarly studies, enhanced by university and foundation aid, and adopted by a growing number of practitioners. He also said that on most campuses, the field of nonprofit studies has yet to gain full membership in the field of academic disciplines. He also said that higher education is saddled with the responsibility to promote values which are needed to sustain democracy. |
