Abstrakt: |
The article presents the prenatal diagnosis of diastematomyelia. It is a split cord abnormality and a kind of occult spinal dysraphism that takes place due to abnormal notochord development in pregnancy. Diastematomyelia can be detected during prenatal period using ultrasonography and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). The combination of the two process of diagnosing will also help in determining the fetal nervous system and spine. |
