The article discusses a court case wherein the ruling of the European Court of Justice further developed the status of a citizen-student of the European Union (EU). The author says the case Rudy Grzelczyk versus Centre public d'aide sociale d'Ottignies-Louvain-la-Neuve contributed to the case law of the Court of Justice on both equal treatment and residence rights. Grzelczyk is a French national who enrolled at the University of Louvain in Belgium. Under the provisions of Directive 93/96/EC, he has a right of residence. |
