Abstrakt: |
The article offers a comprehensive report in the political structure and government in Japan for 1991. It discusses its political issues that consists the announcement of former Prime Minister Toshiki Kaifu that he would not run for the party presidential election at the end of October and the appointment of Kiichi Miyazama as the new Prime Minister in November 5. It also cites the results of the unified local elections, electoral reform and the Peacekeeping Operations (PKO) Bill. It presents various tables which give information on the Cabinet composition of former Prime Minister Kaifu and incumbent Prime Minister Miyazama and the names of their members. |
