The article discusses the television coverage of the European Parliamentary election in 1984. This paper focuses on the June 1984 polling results in the second European parliamentary which shows that election in Britain are not re-enactments of general elections. It is a different agenda in terms of public impact and the politics of broadcasters as well as the politicians responding to the prospects of campaigning for votes. The low turn-out of votes caused debates and speculations about Britons and the European Parliament. |
