Abstrakt: The article focuses on the development of political science in Slovenia. It discusses a profile of the development of political science in the country. It analyzes the effects of the political democratization process that coincided with the disintegration of Yugoslavia on the evolution of the disciplines in the new state. It responds to the question on institutionalism and development of political science in the country in the former Yugoslavia, and the influence of political democratization and the national emancipation processes on the discipline.
