Abstrakt: |
The article focuses on religious variables, political system characteristics, and policy outputs in the various states of the U.S. The authors refer to several studies which on this regard. One of the studies suggest that exploration of the values that prevail in the cultural environments of different U.S. states may be necessary for a thorough understanding of interstate differences in politics and public policy. Based on the data from different U.S. states, the authors suggest that cultural characteristics may be as important as economic characteristics in the explanation of state political system characteristics and policy output. |
