The article examines epidemiological research on environmental pollutants and their role in breast cancer. Information from relevant literature and systematic critical reviews in the PubMed database confirmed the association between breast cancer and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and polychlorinated biphenyls. An overview of evidence regarding the association of dioxin and breast cancer is provided. It discusses the pesticides associated with the development of breast cancer. |
