The author offers her views regarding the role played by dermatologists in eating disorders. According to her, dermatologists are interested in eating disorders because the human skin undergoes important changes when a person has anorexia nervosa (AN). She presents various reports and studies that found dermatological symptoms in eating disorder patients and offered information on the involvement of the skin in eating disorder. |
