Abstrakt: The article discusses a baseline survey in Kenya as part of the Nyando Integrated Child Health and Education (NICHE) project created by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC). The aim of the NICHE program is to help children in an impoverished rural district in Kenya. According to the survey, 21.5 percent of children aged 6 to 35 months have had acute respiratory infection.
