The article reports on the effects of castration on prostate cancer patients and voluntary eunuchs or people with castration paraphilias. It mentions that androgen deprivation in prostate cancer patients result in depression while voluntary eunuchs function better. The article argues that motivation plays a more significant role than physiology in determining the effects of androgen deprivation. |
