The article explains the significance of consultation-liaison to child and adolescent psychiatry. It offers a definition of the child and adolescent psychosomatic medicine. It discusses the roles of the pediatric consultation-liaison psychiatrists. It stresses the need for the child and adolescent psychiatrist who serves as a consultant to consider all the psychotherapeutic, biological and multisystemic interventions during the consultation. |
