Abstrakt: The production of a new antifouling paint is considered. In this paint, arsenic sulfide sublimates, which are middlings of the sulfidizing roasting of gold-arsenic concentrates, are used as the biocide agent. A scheme of arsenic removal is briefly described. This process prevents environmental pollution by toxic arsenic compounds by converting them at the early stages of the metallurgical process into a polysulfide to be used as the biocide agent in antifouling thermoplastic coatings.
