The section of "Woolen-yarn Manufacture," presents information on spinning machinery for woolen processing. It mentions that even though ring-spinning is commonly used for woolen yarn manufacture, many manufacturing processes are still using mule spindles. A variety of spinning frames are offered for different types of blends by machinery manufacturers. Several single-draft systems are used for short synthetic fiber processing. It mentions that even though different types of spindle tops have been offered and collapsed balloon spinning is being widely used, it has not brought any apparent benefit to a particular design. |
