The section of "Worsted Spinning" focuses on some alternatives to worsted spinning in the textile industry. One of the alternatives is the Sirospun system of spinning for producing a worsted weaving yarn. The advantages of this method include elimination of the cost of two-folding and increase in productivity per spindle of the ringframe. Another alternative is the self-twist method of spinning that is used to spin acrylic-fibre yarns for knitting and several runs of weaving yarn. The suitability of this type of spinner for small lot sizes constitute one of the advantages of this type of method of spinning. |
