Abstrakt: The article presents a study that aims to identify factors associated with the failure of cardiologists to change to a different antihypertensive class or add a new antihypertensive class in treated, uncontrolled hypertensives. It was taken into account that among these patients, a new antihypertensive class was less likely to be added in the presence of controlled diastolic blood pressure, previous stroke or treated dyslipidemia or diabetes mellitus.
